What Is Ghost Bus Tours?

Come, traveller, and open your eyes to the horror of days gone by. Step on-board The Ghost Bus Tours and embark on a macabre journey into the tainted history of the land.

Our comedy horror show visits all the most famous sites of Edinburgh as we make our grim parade across the city. Edinburgh Castle, The New Town, Grassmarket, Greyfriar’s Kirk, The Old Town, Holyrood Palace and the Royal Mile; all will feel the morbid gaze of The Ghost Bus. And unlike other Edinburgh bus tours, we provide a deep and sinister insight into the murder, the torture and the executions of yesteryear. From the body snatching Burke and Hare to The Great Scottish Witch Hunts of the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, The Ghost Bus is your window to the dark and terrible past of Auld Reekie.

Of course, it’s not just the ghosts and ghouls of the city you’ll have to fear if you come for a ride with us. Ancient, malevolent energies pervade The Ghost Bus, and as you take in the famous landmarks and absorb the brutal history of Edinburgh, you might find that the bus harbours a few dark passengers of its own.

And who could be surprised, considering its history as a chariot for the dead?

NOTE: The bus is perfectly safe. On the off-chance that a spirit does manifest itself, our staff are highly trained to deal with the supernatural and will make sure that no passenger is in danger from any paranormal activity.

History, sightseeing, comedy theatre and the supernatural, all in one frightfully entertaining evening.

The Edinburgh Ghost Bus Tours lasts approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes (depending on traffic) and leaves from Waverley Bridge, next to Princes St Gardens, opposite the Princes Mall exit of Waverley station.
